The iPhone 12 arrived on the market in the fall of 2020 as the base model of Apple’s best-selling smartphone lineup. This model features 5G cell service compatibility for high-speed connections, a new magnetic backing on the rear for use with matching accessories (including a magnetic charger), and a “ceramic shield” on the front glass for better durability.

Compared to the iPhone 11, the 12 is noticeably larger at 6.1 inches on the diagonal, with an appreciable difference in hand and pocket.
