iPhone 12 Pro

Launched onto the market in the fall of 2020, the iPhone 12 Pro bears a strong resemblance to the standard iPhone 12 with the exception of two features: a third camera (telephoto) and a lidar sensor. Other than that, the screens are the same, the dimensions are the same, and the processors are the same.

So is the pro edition worth the extra money? That depends on your commitment to the best possible smartphone photography. If getting the perfect shot (with faster autofocus and a telephoto lens) feels compelling to you, the Pro may be worth it.

Like the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 Pro has a 6.1-inch OLED screen composed of 1170 x 2532 pixels for a PPI density of 460. In other words, it’s a super-sharp, high-performing screen with excellent color rendition. The processor in the iPhone 12 lineup (the Apple A14 Bionic) is a scorcher —besting comparable Android phones in benchmark tests by 150 to 300 percent.

The iPhone 12 Pro is sold with 128, 256, or 512 GB of internal storage.  Color options include Silver, Graphite, Gold, and Pacific Blue.
